Catoctin Land Trust has received a generous grant from the Wild East Action Fund to support HMCA partners in conservation efforts on and around South Mountain and the Catoctin Watershed. The Wild East Action Fund, administered by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy with financial support from the Volgenau Foundation, seeks to accelerate the pace of conservation within the Appalachian Trail landscape — including in the Mid-Maryland Rural Legacy Areas. The goal of the project is to identify and develop new funding streams to match the funds Frederick and Washington counties are targeting to South Mountain. Big thanks to ATC and Volgenau!
