To accelerate land conservation in the Heart of Maryland, partners are exploring new funding opportunities, even new ways of thinking about funding. In February, HMCA will participate in a four-day, virtual intensive training boot camp delivered by the Conservation Finance Network. The course will offer in-depth information on trends and conservation opportunities in public funding, private investment capital, bridge financing and loans, gifts and grants, income from the land, and monetized ecosystem services. The course is made possible through funding from the National Park Service Chesapeake Bay. Course partners include the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership and the Land Trust Alliance.
