CLT is thrilled to welcome Matt Fleischer as our deputy director. Matt has extensive experience in working with partner  groups, and is heading up our restoration work with the Heart of Maryland Collaborative.

He has served as CEO in both the private and and nonprofit sectors. Matt is the former executive director of the Rock Creek Conservancy, where under his leadership the group tripled its staff and budget in five years. Since 2018, Matt has been senior associate at EcoLogic, providing executive-level business strategy advisory services to support firm’s efforts on marketing and communications as well as business development. Craft beer devotees might remember Matt as the CEO of Hook & Ladder Brewing Company, Silver Spring-based company he led for 13 years.

Matt is leading the Heart of Maryland’s strategic planning effort.
