Help plant 16 trees with the MD DNR Forest Service and the Town of Smithsburg in Smithsburg, MD! This planting is the first phase of a larger project to transform a 4.55-acre municipally owned stormwater basin into a thriving conservation landscape that will improve water quality, expand wildlife habitat, and deliver lasting environmental benefits for the community. This project will reimagine  the site as a diverse natural landscape featuring native forests, meadows, shrubs, and flowering plants that better serve both  people and the environment.
