Monocacy Grassland Birds Initiative Community Meeting

Join Catoctin Land Trust and our project partners on November 14 from 1- 3 pm at a private farm in Emmitsburg for a community meeting about the Monocacy Grassland Birds Initiative!
This initiative is funded through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation’s Chesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense (WILD) Grants Program, in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Catoctin Land Trust and the Maryland Bird Conservation Partnership are proud to help lead a collaborative effort to protect grassland birds and the agricultural landscapes they depend on. Through the Monocacy Grassland Birds Initiative, conservation organizations, agricultural partners, and community groups are working together to better understand, protect, and enhance grassland bird habitat throughout the Monocacy Grasslands Important Bird Area (IBA) in upper Frederick and Carroll counties.
We invite community members, farmers, landowners, bird enthusiasts, and anyone interested in local conservation to join us to learn more about this initiative and what it could mean for the Monocacy Grasslands. Light refreshments will be provided.
